1997 – Wrangell-St. Elias National Park

Massive flooding causes a change of plans but considered a classic trip, with
great weather and lots of up and down.

This trip involved a significant change in itinerary when a swollen river prevented a safe crossing. The eventual route featured a lot of up and down, in a loop from a hunting camp. Not much wildlife, but awesome vistas and we witnessed a large avalanche.
