2002 – Gates of the Arctic National Park II

Perhaps the best of all – great weather, good fishing, tons of caribou.

A return to our roots in the Brooks Range. Great weather, attacking pike, lots of beautiful char in the rivers, and migrating caribou made this one of the best trips. One morning we awoke to wolf in the middle of camp, which eventually trotted off to join his comrades chasing some caribou. We were also stalked by a grizzly, while on a day trip to visit a pingo.
