2006 – Yukon-Charley National Park

A tough slog through dense tussocks, but good wildlife and interesting history
visits, including a wrecked WW II bomber.

This small team of four got a good lesson in not underestimating the terrain. Though it looked so soft and fuzzy from the bushplane, our route turned out to be tussock hell. We often found ourselves exasperated, cursing, and huffing with nothing in site but tussocks. Still, a nice trip, with an early visit to a WWII era bomber crash site.
